The right curly bracket (}), or closing brace, ends the pair that { opens. In mathematics it closes a set ({a, b}), and a tall } placed after several lines gathers them under one label on its right — a layout common in tables, outlines and lecture notes. Outside maths and code it is almost absent from ordinary prose, which is why keyboards keep it behind Shift. A brace is not a parenthesis: in maths (a, b), [a, b] and {a, b} mean different things.

On US and UK keyboards } is Shift + the ] key, the second key right of P. On iPhone it is on the #+= page, on Android on the =\< page.

} ends blocks, functions, classes, objects and CSS rules; a missing one usually shows up as an "unexpected end of file" error at the very bottom. JSON objects close with it, Python f-strings close placeholders with it (doubled {{ and }} print literal braces), and Blade, Jinja and Handlebars close output tags with }}. Bash wraps variable names as ${var}, and in LaTeX } closes a command's braced argument (\frac{1}{2}).
